Scan Manager stores everything locally. When the network goes down, scanning continues without interruption. Nothing is lost.

Tickets downloaded on event select
All tickets for an event are cached to local SQLite storage the moment you open it — indexed for instant O(1) lookup.
Check-ins queued locally
When offline, each check-in is saved to a pending queue with a timestamp. The "Pending Sync" counter keeps staff aware of how many are waiting.
Auto-synced on reconnection
The moment connectivity returns, all pending check-ins are uploaded in a batch. The app also syncs every 10 seconds when online to stay up to date.
Optimistic updates
Tickets are marked as used immediately on the device — no waiting for a server round-trip. Scanning stays under 200ms even on the slowest networks.
Duplicate detection
Already-scanned tickets are tracked in local memory. Duplicates are caught instantly — even offline — before ever reaching the server.
Batch sync — up to 300 at once
When reconnecting after a large offline session, all pending check-ins are uploaded together in a single efficient batch request.

Every venue is different. Scan Manager adapts to your environment — whether you need silence in a theatre or maximum vibration at a festival.

  • Sound on/off — plays distinct chimes for valid, duplicate, and invalid tickets. Fully silenceable for quiet venues.

  • Haptics on/off — medium impact for success, heavy for duplicates and errors. Toggle independently from sound.

  • Keep screen awake — prevents the device screen from sleeping mid-event so staff never have to unlock mid-queue.

  • Result display time — choose 1s, 3s, or 5s for how long the scan result overlay stays visible. All settings persist across sessions.
